Tidying up some
I’m really excited to wrap up February and start fresh on a lot of things! It’s been a pretty crazy few couple of months from when I opened shop last November. Since then, I’ve experienced so much surge of support and props. It’s surreal and unbelievable! I still bounce around the room (with my husband) every time I stumble upon a blog feature or a nice shout-out from...

Location, Location! :)
It’s not much yet, but my cards have slowly been travelling across the country, and finding nest in some lovely little shops. Find out here if one happens to be in your neighborhood! :)
Emerald Petals
Dropped off some cards last week at Emerald Petals here in Portland and got to meet shop-owner, Hilary Holmes. I wish I got to stay longer—her shop is seriously an eco-wonderland! Do check them out (and my cards!) if you’re in the neighborhood. :)
Valentine's Day Cards
Happy New Year everyone! Hope you guys and gals had a fantastic holiday!
My new Valentine’s Day collection is available at the shop. I still haven’t gotten over my infatuation for blush pink and gold—thought I’d give my favorite color scheme one last hurrah (for now). :)
PS.
You will notice an official price change this year for all of my items on shop....

Easter (Not so) Sneak Peek
Because of some off circumstance, I have easter done early! But don’t worry—-I haven’t forgotten about Valentine’s! ;)
Musing over Pop-up Projects
This is an oldie I did back in school for my Portfolio show. It’s a very tedious project but I must say, the satisfaction of putting together an elaborate pop-up book is second to none. (I managed to make 10 of these in a day..yep..I’m bragging!) I was a bit of obsessed with creepy animal heads (until now) but I forget the artist I referenced off of for these creepy golden book...
Someday, when I eventually have a Quill & Fox crew…I want our clutter to look like this. :)

Good morning!
My goodness me! Woke up to this adorable gift from my friend Sara Harris of Buttons n’ Blossoms this morning. Color me floored!! ♥ W/c reminds me—I need to blog soon about her lovely lil’ thank you card that we worked together on. Very happy to work with her rebrand—this girl has so much crafty talent and creates the loveliest things!! I’m so excited for her. Check...

Carri & Jeff Custom Cards / Salem, OR
Once again got to do Carri and Jeff’s custom holiday cards this year. I remember around this time last year, I was pretty new at this whole thing (I still am!) and was nervous about how the cards turned out and manning this gigantic printer. I’m so floored they liked them so much, that they’d ask me to do it again this year!
I’m still working on a more efficient, cost...
Pencils of Promise Tee
Tee design (above) BUY TEE HERE (All proceeds go to the PoP foundation)
Design for the enclosure card that comes with the tee. *This is my own mock-up and not the actual card itself.
I’m very happy to get a chance to work with TANQ and design a tee in support of Pencils of Promise. They help children all over the world gain access to greater educational opportunities—-one...

Holiday Cards
Some new holiday cards finally dropped in at the store today (with some of my favorites above). Absolutely had fun making these ones. I’ve also newly sourced out this absolutely gorgeous 80 pound recycled white paper. It’s a tad lighter than my previous ones—which makes the creasing much more manageable and smooth, not to mention more environment friendly! Hurray for small...

The Slones' Baby Shower
My friend Ferrara is having a baby boy! I planned on designing something a little custom to enclose our gift with for her baby shower. I was heavily inspired by some of the works of Australian urban artist Kyle Hughes. He does a lot of mixed media acrylic painting. I particularly liked his use of wood in his pieces.
Anthropologie birthday card
Another year, another hyper cute Anthro birthday card. I swear, these things get cuter and cuter each year! I look forward to the package designs more so than the birthday discount. Although I will for sure be using that soon.

Kirstin & Marc
Kirstin & Marc are getting married this September in sunny California. I’ve used the couple’s actual silhouettes that they already have, and added some minor tweaks. I also had a ton of fun illustrating the backside flowers.
One fun feature (Which I’ve forgotten to take a close-up of, sorry) is the date stamps at the bottom. It added a little something quirky to...

Mini hiatus: Some re-brand and re-thinking
The remarkable thing about building a brand entity of your own is that it literally changes when you change, especially in its early stages. And I change quite often as a designer (heh!). I like delving into a bunch of new things, and I get inspired by quite a lot of other designers and art everywhere that it transforms my own self-expression every time.
I’m excited to get back on doing...

Watched Persepolis with the hub last night. It’s an animated film based off of Marjane Satrapi’s graphic novel of the same name. I absolutely love the style and art-direction in it! We had to put off finishing it since we started it at 3 in the morning. Nonetheless, it’s a total eye candy with an equally riveting story. Can’t wait to see the rest of it!

Overdue post!
Been dying to post some updates here, but I’ve been swamped with work. Tons of things I wanna share real soon!
I’ll start with one of the things I made a month ago for my friend Cecilia, owner of Showvroom, a fast growing mobile clothing boutique based in Portland. I was more than happy to design her invitations for Showvroom’s launch party! I also got to make other...

New space!
Finally finished my move to a roomier workspace. We emptied out the unused room downstairs and made it my own! I’m still in the process of filling it up. Maybe better chairs or a bigger painting table. For now, not having my tools getting mixed up everywhere is really awesome! So excited to get back to full work mode tomorrow!

The countdown to Christmas officially begins! How cute is this canvas pouch calendar from Pottery Barn. It carries little knick-knacks and activities you can do and enjoy everyday with your family and friends as you count down to Christmas day. Some Musings...
I bought a paperback copy of “The Little Prince” so I can cut up this particular page in a chapter. I framed it—fastened by a display glass. This particular snippet meant so much to me as an artist, especially when I was growing up. I think it would be nice to have it hung on my workspace, as a cute little reminder of why I’m doing what I’m doing, and why...

Bookstore Find
Found this unsuspecting gem at a used bookstore months back. I absolutely fell in love with all the illustrations. The writings are in russian, the art ironically is very french!
I kind of borrow elements from this in my painting. I love the purposeful symmetry on some of them. I’ll post more pages of it next time!

Pottery barn love
Welcome my two not so little additions to my desk space from Pottery Barn! No more scrummaging for misplaced tools with these lovelies. I’m so happy to finally have a pair of (charming) storage for all my loose ribbons and stock paper. I’m also absolutely in love with the chalkboard lid on my organizer box—-gonna start writing down my to do list on it!
